View Full Version : Time zone problem

Hi All,
I'm using Fedora 8, werewolf version. I have trouble in setting my time zone (to CST) and local time zone. My intention is to keep one time.

I'm unable to sync local time and the regional time zone settings. Basically don't want to see the local time zone option on right click over the time.

When I set the timezone to any central time (north dakota or chicago), the internal CMOS system clock is set to other time (+5hrs), showing different time in windows.

Any help is appreciated.

You probably have utc set. In the Date & Time settings under Time Zone untick "System clock uses UTC". It is a common trap for new users.
