We are talking about Google Earth install program not yum.

I have verified this is a problem; it might be bigger problem for people like me running x64; it took me a lot of goggling to find this answer; thought it would be nice to share it is all.

It would be nice if they added this to google repo so we could do a yum install; but till then we have to do it this way.

There is a G-E RPM - Leigh made one, a forum search will find it, and it's included in AutoTen script by DangerMouse.

I just went to the google eath site and downloaded their new beta version. I had to deal with selinux in before I could use GE. Selinux can be very pig headed for the casual user. It's worse than Vista ever was IMHO.

I have to agree; I find myself always wanting to adhere to it; but then switching it off or permissive; somehow running it in permissive mode and fixing complaints isn't what they had in mind.

Any idea if they will ever add it to the google repo?

Do they have an RPM version yet?
