I want to build kernel2.4.20 with gcc3.3.2. When I run "make menuconfig", I got this error:

rm -f include/asm
( cd include ; ln -sf asm-i386 asm)
make -C scripts/lxdialog all
make[1]: Entering directory `/root/linux-2.4.20/scripts/lxdialog'
/usr/bin/ld:/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/3.3.2/../../../libc.so: file format not recognized; treating as linker script
/usr/bin/ld:/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/3.3.2/../../../libc.so:5: syntax error
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

>> to use 'make menuconfig'

make[1]: *** [ncurses] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/linux-2.4.20/scripts/lxdialog'
make: *** [menuconfig] Error 2

Do you know what the problem is?

Hello:
Try

yum install ncurses*

Then give it another shot.
