I've already set the log_type to be FILE /var/log/servicelog, but the file is still empty, why? :(

defaults
{
instances = 60
#log_type = SYSLOG authpriv
log_type = FILE /var/log/servicelog
log_on_success = HOST PID
log_on_failure = HOST
cps = 25 30
no_access = 0.0.0.0/0
}

includedir /etc/xinetd.d

Try restart xinetd "service xinetd restart" or "/etc/init.d/xinetd restart"

OR

'ps -ef | grep xinetd' <- to get the process id (pid)
'kill -HUP pid' <- it works like a restart.

Doing a HUP on the pid seems to be better.
