cdrecord (command line tool) can be used with cue files.

cdrecord -help
from the teminal for more info

but there is also xcdroast which is a graphic cd burning tool that supports a few formats.

i also recommend xcdroast, as k3b has been giving me some problems
k3b is much more advanced currently, i must admit...

what is "backup cd"? I use DVD for server backups and servers for workstations backups :)
please specify what does it mean "backup cd". usualy in linux system when you have a copy of /home, /etc and /var that will be backup. simple script with sh, tar, bzip2, mkisofs, cdrcord will do it.

Duplicate thread deleted. Please don't post almost the exact same thing in multiple forums. Summary: you can use k3b to record .cue files.
