Hello.

I am using KDE. I have multiple workspaces/desktops with different settings (specifically, different wallpapers). The easiest way to change desktop settings is to right-click on the desktop and select "Configure Desktop...", which brings up a GUI.

I would like to be able to edit desktop settings without the cumbersome GUI. Is it possible to do this from the command line or by editing some text files? Does anyone know?

Thanks in advance. :)

You can do that by editing the file ~/.kde/share/config/kdesktoprc. There are sections called [Desktop0], [DesktopScreen0] etc. The option's name is CurrentWallpaperName.
