The message below is displayed at the beginning of the boot process.
Decompressing LINUX...Done
Booting the kernel
Red Hash Version 6.0.19 Starting
hub 2.0:1.0: unable to enumerate usb device port 3
hub 2.0:1.0: unable to enumerate usb device port 3...
...
...

Is this something that needs to be addressed?

I have a bluetooth dongle that does that from time to time. I just unplug it, plug it back in, and it resumes proper functioning. One by one yank your USB devices and see which it is that is causing the problem. Hopefully out and in will cure it, or there may be something funny with it.

These messages are harmless, in kernels older than v.2.6.25.1 they were not shown

Hmm, and I updated the kernel from 2.6.24.68. I removed the device (mouse) and it showed

hub 2.0:1.0: unable to enumerate usb device port

Since there is no apparent impact on using either of the USB ports I will disregard this message...
