I'm unable to figure out why rdesktop is throwing the following error:

rdesktop -4 192.168.1.6
Autoselected keyboard map en-us
X Error of failed request: BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 23 (X_GetSelectionOwner)
Atom id in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 54
Current serial number in output stream: 54
I'm using the following rdesktop package: rdesktop-1.6.0-1.fc8

I've looked up the BadAtom error and most posts point to modifying the global ssh config (which I have tried). I've tried removing and reinstalling the package for the hell of it.

Samba shares work fine and I'm able to ping the machine I'm connecting to.

RDP is enabled on the XP box (I even upgraded the client to version 6 for the heck of it).

I'm at a loss, any help would be appreciated :)

Interesting. You say that you have searched these forums?
Take a look here: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=190679

That may be F9, but it seems perhaps more than coincidental.

I'm not quite sure where the badatom error is referred to in the post you linked, perhaps you could enlighten me, I seemed to have missed it.

Thanks!

OK. Keep it friendly, please. No need for the attitude.
