View Full Version : Fedora 9 installation in reboot loop.

I downloaded Fedora 9 i386 version and installing on virtual server 2005 r2. My host machine is windows 2003.
My virtual machine is able to boot from the fedora iso image and gives me the screen where it says Welcome for Fedora 9 and gives options for installing fedora...
My issue is that no matter what options i select.. something goes on the screena nd virtual machine reboots giving me the same 'Welcome' screen again..
I havn't been able to go past this screen.. pls help.. :( thanks in advance!!

Weve seen similar issues with Frdora 9 and Virtual server 2005

At install

select first option on boot menu using tab, then type 'noreplace-paravirt' after the first part of string


IE vmlinuz initrd=initrd.img noreplace-paravirt


Do this again after the installation has finsihed on first reboot

hi thanks a ton for the help.. i did that i this time i was able to pass that screen but now...it doesnt detect the CDROM or hdd. .asks for the drivers :|
