Hi all,

Does anyone know of the Linux-based programs that will allow the syncing of Outlook calendars similar to what Exchange does?

On server or client? If both, try kolab and kde.

Just the server-side. The client I'm trying to do this for has a Fedora mail server (using postfix), but needs to sync their Outlook 2003 calendars. Logically, I want to keep things to Linux, no need to pollute their office with a MS box, lol.

I've had a look at Zimbra but you need the $399 version for this, which is out of the client's budget

I don't know of any free software solutions which can do this.
If proprietary is an option, perhaps kerio or zarafa?
There is an experimental port of kde4 to ms-windows, perhaps that?

You can try OpenXchange (open-xchange.org). You install it and have e-mail (Postfix-based), user accounts in LDAP, data in PostgreSQL. Everything is interated using Java.

The best part is that your client can maintain his Outlook investment, the guys provide the Outlook "OXtender", which makes your Outlook "just work" with OX. Theoretically, at least. And I'm not sure it's free =)
