I downloaded the live cd and attempted to run it. I have an ATI video card that most of the other live cd'd will not recognize. They do however have an option for VESA or Video safe mode. I do see that option on FC9 and get a blank screen on bootup. Are there any options to fix it so I can see if I want to install FC9.

Hello:
If you hit the Tab key, then the space key once and type and enter the following

linux mode=vesa

See if that helps.

You can find more boot options in the Installation Guide here Appendix A. Boot Options (http://docs.fedoraproject.org/install-guide/f9/en_US/ap-admin-options.html)

Linux mode=vesa does not have any effect. Still get garbled video immediately after X starts, regardless of whether I am using the FC9 live CD, install CD or USB stick created with the FC9 USB boot stick utility.

I tried the code you sent but I had the same result that Z1NT had. The screen after the initial boot went blank and would not come up. Thanks anyway.
