Hello all,

Just recently installed Fedora 9 KDE (from the LIve CD), moving over from openSUSE, and I followed the steps here to install the following playback: MP3, video files via Kaffiene and VLC, and DVD.

http://www.my-guides.net/en/content/view/103/26

However, I still can't get any video file to play, or mp3 file to play.

Is this not supported yet in Fedora 9?

So far I like what I see in the latest fedora, and I may be a permanent convert.

Yes it is supported. Only you need to configure yum and add Livna. From this repo you can install all the necessary codecs. What did you do exactly and did you recieve any errors upon installing the codecs?

the linva repo's were the first thing I installed after installing the KDE Live CD.

After install the linva repos, I went to the link in my post above and followed the steps. No errors that I remember seeing.

What kind of programs do you use to play the above mentioned media? As for Kaffeine, I wouldn't, as I use Gnome and different programs. I alwyas use this http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mjm-fedora-f9.html
Try to follow the steps described in that guide.
