Hi all, ever since Fedora adopted SCIM (F7, I believe, or was it FC6?) I'm no longer able to enter Unicode characters codes to type in the character I want (without having the SCIM program running, which for me made it a pain). Where I could only press ctr+shfit+code, with scim I had to activate the mode I wanted and then type in the code, then revert back. It may be just me, but the previous method was MUCH faster. Is there a way to use it again, or am I stuck with SCIM?

Did you try Ctrl+Shift+U+code?
I don't have SCIM installed but Ctrl+Shift+code doesn't work for me, Ctrl+Shift+U+code does.

Excellent! Thanks for the tip on ctrl+shift++u+code, I never thought of it, I was used to simply press ctrl+shift+code.
