I have fedora 8 x86_64 bits

I downloaded gift-0.11.8.1 and tried to install it with './configure'

After a few seconds I get this error:

checking for lt_dlopen in -lltdl... no
configure: error:
*** Couldn't find ltdl library. If it is installed in a non-standard
*** location, please supply --with-ltdl=DIR on the configure command line,
*** where `DIR' is the prefix where ltdl is installed (such as /usr,
*** /usr/local, or /usr/pkg). If that doesn't work, check config.log.

I tried with several directories witch I took from 'locate ltdl'

But I get always the same error.

***

This is what I'v found in the log file:

configure:25327: checking for lt_dlopen in -lltdl
configure:25357: gcc -o conftest -g -O2 -Wall -I/usr/share/libtool/include -I/usr/share/libtool/include conftest.c -lltdl -lnsl -L/usr/share/libtool/lib >&5
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lltdl
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Hello:
Install the package libtool-ltdl-devel

yum install libtool-ltdl-devel

and give your ./configure a whirl again

maybe because I've installed more than one package with 'ltdl'

libtool-ltdl-1.5.24-3.fc8.x86_64.rpm and libtool-ltdl-devel

what I should do with this problem?
