When I installed my first "manual" rpm file, I got this error:

rpm -Uvh xmms-1.2.10-1.i386.rpm

/etc/security/selinux/src/policy/file_contexts/file_contexts: No such file or directory

I have seen it several times before (in FC1) and I suspect that is has to do with security and/or validation/user rights

What does it mean? ... and most important, how do I get rid of it?

Hmm, I would guess that this is somehow related to SELinux somehow being enabled yet not installed properly although I don't think it comes in FC1 (that's what you're in right?). Try looking at your dmesg output to see if somehow you are starting SELinux and if so try disabling it. Thats the best I can think of. GL

I wouldn't worry about it. Like Bana suggested, it's related with SELinux's integration with FC2 but it's only half baked at the moment, the error will be resolved in future test releases as the SELinux integration process nears completion.

See the other xmms-mp3 thread on how to do a more "proper" installation of mp3-support in xmms.

Remember, if a solotion is offered by Fedora or Fedora related projects (like livna.org or freshrpms) these are the ones you want.
