Ok, I'm new to fedora so please bear with me. When you first install fedora, there are 200+ updates that need to be installed. Originally they just wouldn't install for me, so, after some searching I found Presto. Presto helps speed up your updates and what not. And guess what...it did! Hooray right? Not so much actually. at the end of the download it says "unable to verify yum -3.2.8-2.fc8.noarch"

So....help....please.

maybe you should try to update yum at first:

yum update yum

after that yum should just work fine

at the end of the download it says "unable to verify yum -3.2.8-2.fc8.noarch"

Can you attach the full output from yum? It's hard to troubleshoot without all available information.
