Hi!!

I have 3 partitions here in my pc (one for fedora, one for windos(sry but sometimes I need it :( ) and one for data)

When I start fedora, it automounts the other two in /media/disk and /media/disk-1. This works ok, but the names are randomic! Sometimes "disk" is for windows partition, but sometimes is for data partition!

There is anyway to set this names?? like windows partition is always for windows and disk-1 always for data..

Bye :)

Hello:
If you are dual booting with windows, then boot into windows and under Disk Management (I think ?) name the C:\ drive to whatever you like.

When you boot back into Fedora it will be mounted under /media/Yournewlynameddisk

For the fedora disk use the application e2label to name/label the disk / paritition to whatever you like as well.

Umount the disk/partition first then, identify it with
su -

fdisk -l

then

e2label device [ new-label ]

For more details see the man page for e2label (http://linux.die.net/man/8/e2label)

Once you have re-named the partition you may have to reboot to see the name/label change.

You can confirm with

# df -hT
