My root account is stuck in Japanese, and I can't read Japanese well enough to figure out where I need to go in order to fix it. Does anyone know how to change the root's language? All other accounts on the computer are in English, but root isn't.

I would appreciate any help I can get, it's hard to manage my computer with almost everything in Japanese.

Just a guess but I know what I would try, boot to run level 3 login as root, hopefully you are still seeing english atthis point and then run system-config-language and set it to English(USA) if that's what you want.

Hopefully that'll work.

EDIT: Try logging in as a regular user and opening a terminal.

su -
enter your password and then type system-config-language.

It's worth a shot.

Thanks for the help, but it already said it was in English, and it didn't work.

At the log-in screen, type 'root' <Enter> and select 'Language' and set it to English, give the root password and when it asks set English as default.
