I just purchased a Samsung 245BW monitor for my laptop that is running F8. I have an old Sager 8560 that has an ATI Rage Mobility 128 chipset and is using the F8 r128 driver. Does anyone know how to configure X for this monitor and driver? I am not an expert on Fedora and configuring the display. It appears that the system (driver?) and monitor are not communicating. The system, via xandr, is saying one resolution but the monitor thinks that it is a different resolution? Does anyone have an xorg.conf file for this combination of driver and monitor? I have tried the generating the xorg.conf file and this does not work. I have tried using others xorg.conf that are using a different driver (nvidia) and this did not work. I would like to get as high a resolution as is possible for the monitor and my hardware.

Regards,
Mike
