Hi all,
I installed Fedora 8 recently from a DVD. I do not have a internet connection to my machine. I want to install and update my machine using a another internet connection. I was able to do this with a debain based system (using apt-get) but do not know how to do it in a Red Hat base system. I know that yum is the tool for this but not sure how to do it. (previously I did this in three steps, first get a package update of enables repos then selected the debs to be installed and generated a downloading script finally added the download files to apt-get cache)I really appriate if some one can give some hints or point me to resource on yum internals.
best regards

thanks zerovice I read it, but think it is not useful for my problem. I have only a single offline machine. But I am in a new track that is yumdownloader provided by yum-utils. yumdownloader has a option to print the url with --url option. I think it will help me to meet my goal but currently undergoing some difficulties.
