Every so often I get internal emails but I don't know how to read them. Now, I just go to the var/spool/mail folder and just read the file. It's a bit of a pain to sift through the file so I was wondering if there's a program to read the emails and if so how do you set it up?

Thanks

Quick and simple way:
`mail` in console.

Or you can use your current client to read mbox mail (if it allows) or you can install terminal based mail client such as Mutt and use it for system mails.

You should be able to read local mail with any mail client, whether it's a GUI or console-style mail client. I use Alpine for that.
