Hi
I'm trying to get "sensors" to work

when i enter sensors i get,
No sensors found!
Make sure you loaded all the kernel drivers you need.
Try sensors-detect to find out which these are.

I do a sensors-detect and i get,
Now follows a summary of the probes I have just done.
Just press ENTER to continue:

Driver `to-be-written' (should be inserted):
Detects correctly:
* ISA bus, address 0x200
Chip `Nat. Semi. PC87591 Super IO' (confidence: 9)

I will now generate the commands needed to load the required modules.
Just press ENTER to continue:

To load everything that is needed, add this to some /etc/rc* file:

#----cut here----
# Chip drivers
# no driver for Nat. Semi. PC87591 Super IO yet
# sleep 2 # optional
/usr/bin/sensors -s # recommended
#----cut here----

If you have some drivers built into your kernel, the list above will
contain too many modules. Skip the appropriate ones! You really
should try these commands right now to make sure everything is
working properly. Monitoring programs won't work until the needed
modules are loaded.

Help appreciated i am teh N00b.
I search and finally get somewhere and then i get stuck and have to ask. Thank YOU!

From a bit of Googling it looks like there is no support for that chipset and some of the hits say there never will be. The same chipset is in the Thinkpad T42's. I did not see any modules in the 2.6.23.11 kernel.
