All,

The system is FC7 with all the upgrades. After some upgrades FC7 no longer allows a user to claim the USB ports. The error is: "could not claim usb device". This used to work.

What script configures USB devices? How can the permissions be changed to allow users to access USB.

Thanks - Dan

This started happening from FC5 and has surfaced a few times since then.

and probably a few more. May the 'Search' be with you :)

Thanks, I had seen those. However they do not fix it. The camera does not work. It works as root but not as a user.

Does anyone know anything about the file: 45-libgphoto2.rules Several posts reference this file but it is not in the distribution.
