Need more information. You could try yum'n yum-fastestmirror -If you suspect download issue.

try an RPM database rebuild.

su
cd /var/lib/rpm/
rm -f __db*
rpm --rebuilddb
exit

Remember to backup before doing this and that it may cause serious problems if something goes wrong. I have never had any issues doing this, I know that some people have.

I'd try a "yum clean all" first. You only need to rebuild the rpm database if it becomes corrupt. In which case you probably won't even get to 99%.

And FWIW, now that everyone is using that fastestmirror plugin I frequently get "too many anonymous users" errors and "trying other mirror", which sort of defeats the purpose. :( Kind of like telling me "we've identified the fastest mirror and you can't use it"... gee, thanks for nothing. ;)

you probably have to update yum

console:
yum update yum

that helped in my case with non-reachable repositories
