The sha1sum mismatch of updates/comps-f8.xml happens again ...

[yur@yur ~] sha1sum comps-f8.xml
ffc1f599da0dc48779a86cccbb4dc7d631f9c433 comps-f8.xml

But in repomd.xml

<data type="group">
<location href="repodata/comps-f8.xml"/>
<checksum type="sha">365d08283aaa044c737670e60d5218034f591c08</checksum>
<timestamp>1196091232</timestamp>
</data>

As a result, yumex falls in a trap

18:16:23 : Failure getting http://mirror.anl.gov/pub/fedora/linux/updates/8/i386/repodata/comps-f8.xml:
18:16:23 : --> [Errno -1] Metadata file does not match checksum
18:16:23 : Trying other mirror.

I hope the update maintainer fixes the sha1sum value in repomd.xml soom.

well in my case i formated fedora 3x (three times). (First because i removed accidentaly the files of /root and was thinking that some security was broken).

Then i realize it was not because of that - After clean install the updater download m*o*r*e t*h*a*n 1gb (!)... going from mirror to mirror... stream streem
So after 2 install then i decided to check here in the forums...

Tks for the tip.
ppl should be aware because they could download more 5gb easy.

One question : do you know if those downloaded files stays in the system? If 1>where are they?
