I have a Fedora Machine where I am not able to login as root or any other user.I posted the query in this forum but couldnt get sufficient help?Anyway now I have the first Fedora CD and want to repair the system.
Can anyone help me step by step with the Rescue mode of the Linux?How can I be able to login as root ?

Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..Help

Why can't you login as root? Did you forget your password? If you just don't know the password you can remove root's password entry in /etc/shadow - from the rescue cd I think it mounts the file system under /mnt/sysimage so the shadow file will be /mnt/sysimage/etc/shadow, the encrypted password is the second filed, i.e: root:ENCPASSWD:...

You should then be able to login as root with no password.
