Hi all,

I am setting up a server today (PE 2650) and it only has a CD drive (and the drive is the thin type - and I do not have a DVD drive to replace it).

So - does anybody know where I can get Fedora 8 on CD? Torrent somewhere? I've done a search and keep coming up with the live-cd, which from what I understand does not support installs.

Thanks,
Rob

If you have another pc on the network that has a dvd drive you can install over the network pretty easily.

The Live CD will install. It will not upgrade. But a Fedora 8 CD set (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora7/FAQ#head-e48fef84356fd1c6e877627de4eefbe22c215201) is available.

My Live CD install upgrades. It uses the same repositories as the dvd install, hence the upgrades.
