View Full Version : Fedora 8: Could not find kernel image / Invalid or corrupt kernel image

10th November 2007, 11:10 PM
First of all, I tried installing Fedora 8 on my Dell Latitude D830.

Instantly after booting the DVD there was the following error:
Could not find keyboard (or something like that)
Could not find kernel image: linux

I found a solution for other distro's and especially Fedora Core 4 & 5:
boot: /isolinux vmlinuz initrd=/isolinux/initrd.img

This, and some other variations didn't work for me. When I tried id I got the next error: Invalid or corrupt kernel image.

I could'n find out how to control the iso with md5. I also didn't want to try other burning software/burning speeds because I don't want 6 toasters if it would't work out.
