I downloaded Fedora 8 x32 i 386 Im having problems after a certain point. Fedora halts after Enabling IO-Apic IRQ

..TIMER: vector=0x31 apic1=0 pin1=0 apic2=-1 pin2=-1.

From this point on nothing happens

Hello:
Try adding the boot option of
linux noapic
See : A.5.2. Overriding Automatic Hardware Detection (http://docs.fedoraproject.org/install-guide/f8/en_US/sn-bootoptions-hardware.html)

On my ASUS V6V i had to disable ACPI (kernel option acpi=off), to be able to boot at install time!

The setup has just finished! I removed the kernel option acpi=off, and everything seems ok, including desktop effects and wireless!
