Hi,

I'm running Fedora Core 7 with the Livna Nvidia Display driver. When I enable Desktop Effects everything seems to work properly except for the fact that I no longer seem to have a window manager running. Basically my running applications have no title bar, minimize/maximize icons, etc. How can I restore window manager operation when I have the Desktop Effects enabled?

Thanks

Interestingly enough, it turns out that my terminals do not render properly either when I have Desktop Effects enabled. I was able to run the command in Geany to get the following results:

compiz: No GLXFBConfig for depth 32
compiz: Couldn't bind redirected window 0x440001e to texture

After reading that I set my nvidia-settings to a color depth of 32 bpp, instead of 16 bpp. That seemed to resolve the problem. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Nickisgod1..
