Hi guys

I have just bought a Acer 5100, specs...

AMD Turion 64x2 1.6GHZ (800mhz core)
ATI Radeon XPress 1100
120 gb hdd
1gb DDR2 Ram


ok I want to install fedora 7 but I am unsure what .iso image i need to donload from fedoraproject!. I am loosing my patients with vista as usual and I want to get linux on here fast. + are there any known issues with this laptop and linux Fedora?

Hmmm.

Search first by name and model number, then look here to see if this model, or one similar has been a problem.

I suggest you search for the PC mfgr & model. Thy here (note teh search link on the top.
Also check google.com/linux. Linuxonlaptops and the mobile linux websites.

You almost undoubtedly want the x86_64 linux, but you can run the i386 linux too.

The correct one is the x86_64.
