I currently have 23 partitions and like many other linux users cannot load Fedora 7.

Why has the new install process included this 16 scsi partition limitation?

There was nothing wrong with the installer on Fedora 5, at least I could install into hda17 and hda18.

Where is the scsi limitation of 16 partitions controlled from, scsi emulation in the kernel or something else?
Also, is there a way to disable it, eg. passing parameters through grub?
My hard drive is UDMA, master on IDE0

Thanks in advance.
