Hi all,

I downloaded the 'Fedora-8-Test-3-Live-x86_64.iso' file and attempted to burn it using Nero. Even with overburning enabled, it was about 50MB too large. It would not let me write it to a DVD.

How am I supposed to create this LiveCD?

Thanks!

Yeah, I believe the 64bit version is too large for a CD and needs to be written to a DVD. I don't know why Nero won't let you do this, I've written even regular sized ISO's to DVD when I've been out of blank CDs.

Ahh, thanks. I was able to write it now after some fiddling in Nero.
I just didnt think I should burn it to a DVD since its called "LiveCD"..

It looks it will fit on a 90min CD. Such blanks (and even 99min CDs, but those are more problematic) do exist but not all writers can record them to the maximum capacity, so you'll have to check your drive's compatibility. The advantage compared to writing to a DVD is that these are readable in normal CD drives, not only in DVD drives.
