I download a Quake 2 Loki 3.21 Installer from http://www.liflg.org/

I tried to do a Death match with my brother from his Windows 98 SE Laptop. We first had a version incompatibility, so we installed Quake II 3.20 on his Computer (Not the exact same version, but close enough we think). It came with a bunch of maps of its own. We tried getting the Demo maps working, but they do not work.

My Linux computer only has the demo maps. I did download one of the maps my brother has, but I have no idea how to get it working. Any ideas?

I got the Demo maps on my brothers computer, so we can play those. I also got one of his maps working on my computer in single player, but it does not recognize it in Multi player. How do I fix this?

Not a real answer but if you want quake 3,

# yum install quake3

There is also openarena and others available in the repository.
