View Full Version : GIMP clone tool appears to be broken

Hello,

I am touching up some old photos I have scanned in and the clone tool in GIMP appears to be broken.

the clone idea is that you get a "good" bit of the photo and then use it to patch a "bad" bit. The tool icon looks like an old fashioned "elephant" stamp used in schools.

Two issues

1. This is working in the windows version but not on F7. Could someone please check if this is not just me. and/or

2. does anyone know of this fault and any way around it

Regards

Paul

Hello again,

I just dragged out an old laptop and the clone tool works on it. Both are the same version of GIMP and both are both fully up to date F7.

Hmmm.

Which GIMP version and which video card is causing the problem? This may relate.

Hello,

Thank you for replying. The Gimp version is 2.2.17 and the card is a ATI Mobility x600. I have tried a couple of drivers and it makes no difference.
