Whenever I try to play flash games sometimes when I try to click things in the flash game for example the play button etc... nothing happens. I have tried on various sites and various flash games. Youtube works perfectly.

I am using Firefox x86_64 with flash which I installed with nspluginwrapper. I also have the same problem with Firefox i386.

And are you using the version of flash from an RPM, or directly from Adobe?

No... I just do it as I normally do... extract the plugin from the tar... move it to the firefox plugins folder then install with nspluginwrapper.

What if you run yumex and find the adobe repo and install it then try installing through yum or yumex?

well what i am seeing is you have
Shockwave Flash 9.0 r60
installed BUT
Shockwave Flash 9.0 r48 is the CURRENT release
it looks like you have a bad copy /hacked maybe ?
uninstall ALL flash with yum and by hand and reinstall from here
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash
then see if clicking on "ok { on the flag}" will restart the penguin game

Can you give the URL to the "Flash" game you're trying to access?

I have the feeling you're trying to play a web-based game in "Shockwave", which is a different plugin than Flash (misleading).

If so, you're in the same boat as 26,777 other Linux users. Sign the Linux Shockwave petition here:

http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?linuxswp

Hope this helps, at least to give you more information about your situation. If your game was, in fact, Flash-based (and not shockwave), I apologize.

I eventually fixed it by doing a clean install.
