View Full Version : strange direct rendering problem (root has DRI, other users don't)

I just installed a fresh fedora 7 on my thinkpad T60, got fglrx working with DRI enabled, installed compiz fusion. Everything is fine untill yesterday. When I was using a regular user, the 3D rendering becomes very slow. So, I logged off, and logged in. But the direct rendering is gone. When I logged in with root, everything is fine. After rooting the system, problem still persists: root user has DRI, while regular user don't.

Anyone has any idea why this is happening? Right before this happened, I did an upgrade, but can not remember which packages were upgraded.
