Hello,

Are there any "watcher" type kde applications that will let me know if updates are available via yum for Fedora? I really like how this is built into Ubuntu 7.04 and I think there was something similar to it in Gnome in Fedora, but I can't seem to find a counterpart for KDE. I'm just getting tired of running yum manually, and pup is a joke.

Hello Hiro Takahama

I've never heard of an update notifier for KDE, though as rarely a day goes by without some sort of update for Fedora I don't feel too deprived.

A nice graphical frontend for Yum is yumex, this command:

yum install yumex

would get it for you.

Thanks bbfuller, but that's not what I'm looking for. I'm trying to find something that will sit in the taskbar, and pop up notifications when updates are available.
