Hello,
I have Twinview enabled on my NVIDIA Geforce 7600 GT video cards.
When I enable Desktop Effects, every thing but the mouse freezes. My only option is to reset the power on the computer.
What causes that?
The effects work when I just have one monitor enabled.

It seems metacity and compiz are segfaulting.
Sep 5 19:07:42 localhost kernel: metacity[3584]: segfault at 0000000000000058 rip 000000000041710a rsp 00007fff5ce11ac0 error 4

I solved it by removing the version of Compiz bundled on the Fedora 7 DVD and installing from an external repositiory.
My new problem is that the effects work on the main monitor just fine. The secondary monitor has no window borders.
I'll post a new topic for that.
So thanks for your help Jim. :)
