I get confuse in taking specific screen shot in linux. I've tried to use The Gimp > File > Acquire > Screen Shot. But the result is more confusing me. It's not as I expect.

I usually use Snagit in windows. Is tehere any tools similar to Snagit that can be used in Linux OS? What tools can I use beside The Gimp? And where can I get it?

Thx b4.

In Gnome Menu
Applications, Accessories, Take ScrrenShot

Click "Grab Current Window
set to 3 seconds
Click off "Include the Window Border"

click Take Snapshot button

For KDE the programs is called Ksnapshot.

Is it also valid for the scrolling window?

I've tried those steps but after I clicked Screen Shot it will appear a window with screen shot result. There is no menu to chose 'Grab Current Window' and there also no time setting either.
