hi i read the threads but im just not getting some stuff...

im running a Thinkpad R40e with Fedora Core5
i cant run YUM because its not hooked up to any net, i cannot Add/Remove files
my audio is very low, i have a ATI Radeon IGP330M with 1024 x 768 ( XGA )
and im currently running at 800x600 and if i run at 1024x768 my screen gets all weird... need help please help me get this running... audio,video,installingand uninstalling things. thank you very very very much.

Start there.

FC5 is outdated now, you may find a lot things work better in the newest version.......or not.

i tried installing fedora6 but its too much for my system... i only have 128mb of ram... so yea.. im stuck and i realy like fedora

please guys? i realy need help, i realy like fedora but im having so much trouble... i only need help with my audio now... i think i got the video and Add rmove programs down.

so the smartest way is to create a repository from the install dvd and try to install stuff from there like 915resolution and other packages but without internet you cannot do much on that laptop

ok thanks, do you recomend any other linux distrubution thats good that will work ok on a 128mb and 2.0ghz cpu?

Any fedora will work just fine do the install in text mode rather the using the X-based one.

BTW Fedora is way too bloated for that machine anyways, but that's just my opinion.
