I just installed Fedora and only selected KDE during the software customization stage and noticed that gnome-font-properties is not installed by default.

How can I install gnome-font-properties? I want to configure the settings of my gnome based apps like firefox.

Cheers,

Thanks for the reply schwim,

[root@localhost ~]# yum install gnome-font-properties
Setting up Install Process
Parsing package install arguments
fedora 100% |=========================| 2.1 kB 00:00
primary.sqlite.bz2 100% |=========================| 3.8 MB 00:35
updates 100% |=========================| 1.9 kB 00:00
Nothing to do
[root@localhost ~]#

So it seems like that's not the name of the package that I need to install.

Hy there Mr. Grieves,

Is there a reason you don't want to install Gnome? I know some people don't like the thought of installing things that they don't need, but I figure with the size of today's HD's, I can afford some unnecessary installs.

My thoughts are that installing the Gnome DE will resolve any dependency issues you might run into later down the road.

thanks,

Thanks Roberto,

But gnome-font-properties is still missing and they're still using it in point 4.

i think you need the control-center package..

rpm -qf /usr/bin/gnome-font-properties
control-center-2.18.0-20.fc7

fyi: in fedora 8, after installing control-center, the program to run is:

/usr/bin/gnome-appearance-properties
