I install both fedora(sdb) and solaris(sda).

# fdisk -l

Disk /dev/sda: 80.0 GB, 80000000000 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 9726 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 2 9725 78108030 bf Solaris

Disk /dev/sdb: 160.0 GB, 160000000000 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 19452 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdb1 * 1 25 200781 83 Linux
/dev/sdb2 26 6399 51199155 83 Linux
/dev/sdb3 6400 10223 30716280 83 Linux
/dev/sdb4 10224 19452 74131942+ 5 Extended
/dev/sdb5 10224 10350 1020096 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/sdb6 10351 19452 73111783+ 83 Linux

When boot FC6,
Fail ... unable to access SWAP sda5

Fedora want to access solaris swap area.

But no problems on FedoraCore3 but, on FedoraCore6, I have problems.

any good idea ?

Did you format /dev/sdb5 as a swap partition? Just creating the swap partition isn't enough, it has to be formatted as well. What is the entry for /dev/sdb5 in /etc/fstab?

It looks like your swap partition has the label "SWAP", so to format it as swap you'd do this:
mkswap -L SWAP /dev/sdb5

To access it immediately you could then do this:
swapon -L SWAP

or you could wait till the next reboot, when it should be picked up from reading your /etc/fstab.

Thanks.
I don't know swapon command. so, clear.

but I've got many problems else. so, I'm going to full install, not version up.
