Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to set different background images or colors for multiple desktops in GNOME? I am using Fedora 7. In KDE it is straightforward, but I have not figured out how to do that in GNOME. If you change the background color, it shows up in all desktops.

Thanks.

I attempted to do this at one point as well. To the best of my knowledge, it is impossible.

I think so, too.

There are a few packages out there that will do this. The only one I have tried at this point is Wallpapoz. I do believe it is in the Fedora repository. You should be able to do 'yum install wallpapoz'.

Here is the project homepage.

Thanks for this suggestion, rjstaaf. I was not aware of such packages. I did find it in the Fedora repository.
