Hi guys,

I've been told to recompile a kernel for FC6 - but don't know much about linux at all, the reason I need to recompile a kernel is so that my FC6 will recognise my full 8GB of RAM instead of only 3.7GB of RAM. Any idea's or a step-by-step guide?

Regards,

Wagz

You don't need to recompile anything, just install the kernel-PAE package and reboot.

I've done that. It stuck at 3.7GiB - Do I delete the other 2 kernel's that are next to the PAE?

Are you actually running the PAE kernel? What's the output of "uname -a"?
