I burnt a DVD in nero and could not mount it using GNOME on Fedora7. I then closed the session in nero and the dvd worked fine...

How can I read an open session dvd in fedora 7? A search on the internet showed me several people complaining about it but could find no good solution...

Is there a solution yet?

A multisession DVD is not the same as a DVD with an unclosed session.
This latter can't be normally read - it can be handled with a burning program (you can close the session, or add file to the unclosed session).
The session on a multisession DVD is closed, but you can append other sessions to the same media and when you mount it you have access to all the data on it. For this you have to begin the burning process explicitly as "multisession".
DVD+RW follow a different strategy (no session is added, the filesystem is growth deleting and rewriting the lead-out), but the final result is the same.
