you want to find a .rpm package not a .deb package. deb packages are made to install on debian based systems. rpm ( red hat package manager ) is made to install on red hat systems, aka fedora. But actually to install limewire use the standard linux package. You do not need to install it just run the file runlime.sh with the command:

sh runLime.sh

Hope that helps.

Other Systems (OS/2, Solaris, Linux)

is the link you want to take then just extract that to your /home/user-name-here directory, open a terminal and type cd /home/user-name-here/LimeWire then ./sh runLime.sh

replace user-name-here with your login name

i put it on desktop if it matters but

[root@localhost ~]# cd /root/Desktop/LimeWire
[root@localhost LimeWire]# runlime.sh
bash: runlime.sh: command not found

[root@localhost LimeWire]# cd /home/Caton420/LimeWire
[root@localhost LimeWire]# runLime.sh
bash: runLime.sh: command not found
[root@localhost LimeWire]#

whutcha think?

you forgot the:

Also, be careful of the case of the command, upper and lower do matter, I don't use LimeWire so am unsure how it is written.

Personally, I don't like having applications in my /home directory. I usually place third-party apps in /opt

Edit: Duh, you'll also need to install Java if you haven't already done so:

Edit: Duh, the pain in my back is sooo bad that I forgot I did a 'dummies guide' to installing LimeWire not too long ago. See post #3 here:

try running it with the command:

sh ./runLime.sh

I believe thats how I did it. I've been using aMule recently ( available through yum ) which is much easier to work with. ( also it is compatible with beryl ).
