Hey! Old to linux, new to Fedora, wondering where to disable sendmail and sm-client from loading in startup (they actually take *minutes* to get past, on an AMD 64 laptop...) I don't need them, as my primary email is gmail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

TIA

Can you do this from the Service Configuration GUI?

On my F7 installation, it can be found under the menu System - Administration - Services. You can then stop the services you don't want. Make sure they're unchecked and save changes to prevent them starting on boot-up.

I find it handy to do all the runlevels at once (Edit Runlevel - Runlevel All or hit Ctrl-0).

Hope this is what you're after.

Now that's dead good, that is. I've been looking for one of those for ages.

Nice one, Hlingler!

That worked great! Thanks. I'm moving from a Debian-based install, and things are just in different places than I'm used to.

Thanks again!
