I just installed Fedora 7 64 bit on a new computer I just built and can't get the mouse to work, its on the screen and I can move it while its loading and the bar graph grows, however during and after log in there is no mouse. I turned on the mouse locater (Ctrl) button and the mouse actual moves and you can click things but there is no pointer. I've search the forums hard but can't find anything like it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this problem on FC6.

I found a solution to add
option "HWcursor" "off"

In the "Device" section of /etc/xorg.conf

Oh man, I can't thank you enough. .... that worked like a charm ... believe it or not, I started out on RH8, went back to windows over some silly program I had to run... Came back and picked up on Fedora 5 and every problem I've ever had I've been able to go through the forums and figure it out but this had me buffaloed and I couldn't find anything close....Thanks again...
