I want to replace my 200GB harddisk by a 320GB hd and am looking for a Linux program to do so.
I was warned to use dd because it is said to work only when the disks have exactly the same size.

Thankful for any suggestions,
Hubert

Ghost 4 Linux (http://freshmeat.net/projects/g4l/) is one, never tried it though.

No doubt a very powerful tool but unfortunately it did not recognize SATA drives.
Thank you for trying to help!

If you have a Seagate disc in your system, you can use their custom branded "Acronis true image" which they call Discwizard for free.

Yes, my new disks are Seagate SATAs. I did not know that they have a free clone utility, thank you for the hint!
